This project brings a design studio of 12 Masters of Architecture students from RMIT University to Wales Street Primary, in generating designs that stimulate ideas for the future of the school.
In order to involve the children in this process, the design studio has created a take-home pack for every child, asking for drawings and the sprouting of a climbing bean seed. A climbing garden at the school has developed from this, as well as masterplanning ideas for the school, which will be posted on the blog in due course.
This blog will be used to communicate developments as they occur, and offer a place for comment and discussion amongst the school community about the various design proposals.
